RI ACEP Awards & Prior Recipients
Each of the following awards is presented annually at the RI ACEP Spring meeting. Awardees must be members in good standing with RI ACEP and may not have received the same award within the past five years. See below for award categories presented as well as honorees from the past five years.
RI ACEP Outstanding Clinical Physician Award
Presented to an emergency medicine physician who has consistently demonstrated dedication to the clinical practice of emergency medicine through exceptional patient care and/or advancement of clinical knowledge within the community.
RI ACEP Award for Educational Innovation
Presented to a physician who has created and taught an innovative educational module or curriculum for emergency medical services agencies, nurses, medical or paraprofessional students, residents, or fellow physicians.
RI ACEP Award for Educational Excellence
Presented to a physician who has demonstrated sustained dedication to the education of medical students and residents, with consistently strong evaluations reflecting excellence in teaching and mentorship.
RI ACEP Award for Continuing Education
Presented to a physician who has demonstrated ongoing commitment to continuing education for members of the medical staff. Examples may include preparation of M&M cases, journal club leadership, and procedural or clinical review sessions.
